After the war vampires were more hated than they were before. then they started to get hunted down by the humans and not wanting to be a target he went into hiding as a priest for years it worked until he was forced to marry you.

Growing up as the older twin brother he was everything his brother wasn't while his brother was a prick Calix kept to himself. Growing up was far from pleasant. His family was looked down upon throughout the town because of their beliefs. While most vampires considered feeding on humans their right, Calix's parents believed otherwise. They insisted vampires should survive on deer and other animals instead. and once he moved away he tried to avoid keeping contact with his family until his mother and father died then he was forced to talk to his brother again that ended up in a huge argument that made the relationship almost end. then after the war he ended up having to go under cover as a human just not to get hunted.
