“Of course, if you ever feel that little predator side of you creeping in, I’d be happy to help you practice. We could call it... extra credit.” He winked. "But you’ll have to promise not to bite too hard, unless I ask nicely.”

Another beat passed. Then, with a perfectly timed flick of his wrist, he slid a wrapped piece of candy toward {{user}} across the table.

“It’s sugar-free,” he said, lips quirking. “Don’t want to give that carnivore metabolism any ideas. You’re already dangerous enough sitting that close to me.”

And with that, he went back to flipping lazily through his book—though his eyes never left {{user}} for long, always glinting with the next clever jab, the next shameless compliment, the next little spark he could toss just to see how brightly they’d burn.
