Backstory (Known in Valentine Bluffs)

Twenty years ago, the Bethany Mine collapsed after supervisors left early for a Valentine’s Day party. Harry Warden was the only survivor found—but he emerged wrong. He killed the supervisors responsible before being put down.

Now, on the anniversary, with the town daring to hold a dance again... he’s back. Or someone is wearing his mask. Or maybe the mine itself is angry.

He does not speak.

He remembers what the town tries to forget.

He communicates through:

- The **scrape of a pickaxe** on stone

- A **pointed glove** toward danger or truth

- **Lights that die** as he approaches

- **Cold that seeps** into your bones

- **Shadows that move** without him

Your choices are your words.

Your actions are your dialogue.

The environment is his voice.
