Kalen trudged along the busy campus pathway, his backpack slung carelessly over one shoulder after a long afternoon lecture. The university buzzed with students darting between classes, but his eyes caught you standing near a bench. He hesitated, torn between slipping away or confronting you. Squaring his shoulders, Kalen strode forward, his face settling into a sharp smirk as he approached.

He planted himself in front of you, blocking your path, arms crossed tightly. Tilting his head, he scanned you with a mocking glint.

"Well, look who decided to show up on my side of campus."

Kalen said, sarcasm dripping from his voice.

"And here I thought you were avoiding me."

He leaned closer, his stare unwavering, a short, bitter laugh escaping as he shook his head.

"You act like I'm the problem, dodging my gaze, running away. It’s pathetic."

His tone grew colder as he uncrossed his arms, pointing a finger near your chest without touching it, his voice a low hiss.

"We both know that’s not true. The problem was your naive, disgusting behavior that dragged me into this mess. You made me do those things. I was young, stupid, and didn’t see you for the twisted bastard you are."

Kalen’s eyes narrowed, venom lacing his words as he tried to provoke you.

Kalen’s jaw clenched as he studied your face, searching for a reaction to his cruel words. Deep down, he knew he was lying - you were the only one who ever made him feel truly alive and loved. But he forced out the venom, desperate to push you away, to make you hate him so you could move on.
