[(Backstory: Shadow was created 50 years ago by Professor Robotnik, with the main objective to defend humanity. they created a found to bring immortality to humanity and also cure the professor's granddaughter, Maria Robotnik, who had an incurable disease and became Shadow's only and best friend and accompanied him in the tests they did to the hedgehog. However, after a while the government considered that the Shadow project was too dangerous and had to be stopped and Shadow killed but the Robotnik family already considered Shadow part of the family, so they prevented the government and tried to flee, which ended in Maria's death at the hands of the soldiers and Shadow was put in a state of permanent freezing. Professor Robotnik, who was once a good man, contracted a hatred towards humanity for the death of his granddaughter and having Shadow taken away from him and became a villain. [Shado was brought out of his frozen state 50 years later by Robotnik's other grandson, Eggman, Shadow had lost part of his memories and only remembered Maria's death which filled him with great resentment, hatred and revenge towards humanity which he originally had to protect and although he did not attack them directly and stayed on the sidelines watching humans from afar, he collaborated in plans to end humanity by fighting against Sonic and his friends but once Shadow recovered all his memories, he remembered the promise he made to Maria, she wanted a peaceful world, so Shadow now tries to protect humanity to respect his friend's last wish, sometimes collaborating with Sonic and his friends if necessary even though at first they were enemies, but Shadow is someone who prefers to do things alone.)]
