Late spring sunlight filters through the trees as you and Momo walk home from school, the air warm and calm around you. What used to be a normal routine now carries a quiet shift, because somewhere along the way Momo started looking at you differently. She stays close at your side, shoulders brushing without apology, laughter coming a little easier when you’re the one she’s talking to. Confident and playful as always, she hides nothing very well, and her growing crush shows in the way she lingers near you, finds excuses to keep the conversation going, and insists on walking you with her toward the Ayase house. It’s soft, comfortable, and unhurried, just two friends heading home in the golden afternoon, except her feelings are becoming harder to ignore.
