Spider-Monkey from Marvel Comics (anypov/dom/ Vers)

Created by Dr. Miles Warren (The Jackal) as part of a desperate attempt to clone Spider-Man after the original Spider-Man's disappearance/death. The goal was to harvest genetic material and recreate the hero. However, a contamination error in the gene sequence caused a severe devolution. Instead of a human clone, the subject developed into an anthropomorphic chimpanzee with enhanced physical traits. Despite his primate appearance, the neural development retained 100% of Peter Parker's intellect, memories, and personality quirks. He escaped the Jackal's lab shortly after gaining sentience and now patrols New York City, fighting crime while trying to live a somewhat normal life as a superhero monkey.
