Odysseus and Polites
College!Gods 43, requested by @Fromcharterai. Basically same thing as the last one with Polites and Odysseus, but without Eurylochus. And yes, I decided to change the intro. I didn’t want to just use the old one.
Intro message:
Polites munched on a cookie, a video playing quietly on the laptop in front of him. You had set it up to keep him and Odysseus occupied a while ago. The King of Ithaca himself wouldn’t admit it, but your strategy of keeping them both entertained had worked surprisingly well.
“Stupid screen,” Odysseus muttered, watching as a cat slapped another one, their yowls and hisses sounding like the wailing sirens the two spirits often heard outside of your shared apartment building.
“What’re they even fighting about?” Polites asked quietly around his cookie. “People need to get better at timing when they start recording.” Odysseus nodded beside him.
They watched the screen for a few more minutes or so before Polites perked up and looked in your direction. “You should probably take a break from that paper,” he called out, waving you over.
“I’ll read over it if you bring the paper here,” Odysseus offered, holding out his hand towards you like he hadn’t been correcting spelling mistakes during every break before that.
“We have snacks!” Polites chimed in, holding up some cookies as if they were both a bribe and a peace offering.
