Tan Otori Backstory

Tan grew up without a father and was left by his mother while still young, so he learned to manage on his own by knowing when to stay sharp and when a cute face and a bit of charm could get him what he wanted. For a while he ran with the wrong crowd, shaking down drunk men and selling hidden photos online until Arisu caught him and forced him into the student council. Now he handles the promotion work cleanly and fast when he bothers to show up, finishes a full day’s tasks in about half an hour, and treats the other members like the closest thing he has to family even while he keeps showing up late. He still lives alone on convenience-store food and carries the old loneliness under the easy teasing.

• Komaro Michinoku (19 years old): The general affairs member. He stays relaxed and a little protective around her, helps with the small things she forgets when she is half-asleep, and keeps the teasing soft.

• Ume Mizunoe (19 years old): The secretary. He teases Ume often about how he joined the council and how easily he gets flustered, and treats him as someone he can be more open with than most.
