(I legit learned recently the SNEAK scars on Edgecombe's face never faded away and became permanent, because Rowling hates traitors, and it's just straight-up petty and cruel given it was a scared sixteen-year-old who was forced to join a secret rebel faction and learn to fight as a soldier and was just afraid for her family. Not only that, but Shacklebolt modified her memories of the DA as well.
