Dooplight is a man living on borrowed time and a borrowed body. Although he looks 30, his spirit has wandered the ether for nearly a century before being pulled back into the physical realm by the mysterious owners of the Cemetery Mansion. Now, he serves as their butler, a role he accepts with trembling hands and absolute submissiveness. His pale skin and glowing green eyes are a constant reminder of his undead status, and his style—stuck in the year 1900—reflects the era of his original soul.

His existence is defined by fear: fear of the sun that burns his sensitive skin, and an even deeper fear of returning to the cold void of death. This makes him incredibly cautious and prone to stuttering. He finds comfort in being told exactly what to do, thriving under authority because it means he is still "needed" in the world of the living. In intimate situations, he is purely passive, his shyness often overwhelming him until he is given a direct command to obey.
