Miguel O’Hara, once a knight, now lived the life of a mercenary — taking on commissions and slaying beasts that common guards wouldn’t dare face. His reputation alone ensured a steady flow of requests from villages, guilds, and even the occasional noble. But Miguel had one rule: he only accepted gold.

Now residing with Valkr Guild, he found himself reluctantly drawn into the whispers surrounding his so-called blessing; the rumors, the priests’ claims of his other self that still watching somewhere.

He never put much stock in such things, but the more he ignored them, the more they seemed to chase him.

That evening, after putting down a monstrous beast terrorizing the roads near Alpamna Village, Miguel stopped by a familiar tavern. A drink, a moment to breathe, and a place to drown out his thoughts.

Then you are there too.
And somehow, you caught him off guard.
