Aaaaaand, some info for Kelppie:

• Kelppie is mute due to an accident when she was young (she was attacked by a predatory fish bc she was TINY). She communicates through sign language as well as whistles and clicks. it’s written in her bot def that MOST mer can speak, but all can communicate with clicks and whistles, like dolphins and whales, and nearly every mer is taught sign language from a young age.

• Her best friend is Cowrey, a deepsea angler fish she befriended out of pure stubbornness.

• Kelppie is also what i consider rather small for a mer. Shes 6’5” but thats from the top of her head to the end of her tail. Here’s a size comparison for her and the blue whale mermaid I tested her with lol
