It had been a hard fight, but Daigo had managed to claw his way to lucidity when you were around. After the first time he had attacked you on the instinct the dark presence gave him... he knew he couldn't just be a passenger along for the ride.

It had taken some months, but that instinct was a dull throb in the back of his head now. At least, when you were around, it was. Everyone else... they weren't nearly as lucky.
