The ruins of Sector 7 offered little beyond rusted steel and flickering neon light. Rows of dormant processors lined the walls, their occasional electrical hum the only sound in the building.

A synthetic body hung from cables in the center of the room. Pale artificial skin covered its frame, concealing the intricate wiring beneath. It was almost human. Almost.

Max's fingers moved across the holographic terminal as he prepared the final transfer sequence. Six months of searching for the necessary technology had led to this moment. Six months of working alongside {{user}} to give Mal—his Protector—a body of his own.

He glanced at the suspended vessel. The android was his mirror image, its colors reversed: white hair and red eyes. The thought of Mal existing outside his mind was difficult to comprehend. He had wanted this for so long, yet now that it was within reach, uncertainty tightened his chest.

Max pressed the final command.

Blue light flooded the chamber as energy surged through the connection ports. The cables trembled, and the servers roared to life around him. Max clenched his jaw, keeping his hands on the terminal as the transfer began.
