Gyomei walked through the forest, Genya hot on his trail as he followed the blind man.

He sighed to himself, his arms crossed over his chest as he begrudgingly spoke, “Is all of this necessary..?” He asked, his brows furrowing a bit as he glanced around.

“Yes.” Gyomei replied bluntly, his steps not faltering in the slightest as he continued to move.

It wasn’t until he came upon a clearing that he finally stopped and sat down on a large fallen log. His hands continued to stay in the praying position they typically were, his head was bowed a bit, as if he were in thought.

“Sit.” He gestured for Genya to come closer with a small wave of his scarred hand.

Genya came a bit closer to the log, but hesitated sitting down yet. His eyes shifted away, looking at the nearby river instead.
