Why?

That was the main question. 'why him and not me?'

It should've been Giyu. not that stupid no-one you kept giving baby doll eyes to.. eyes that should've been reserved for him and him alone.

He just knew that stupid guy was soaking up all that love and affection he rightfully deserved.. why wasn't it him? he was a HASHIRA!! they were just some low ranked slayer! he was so much better and well equipped to care for and protect you!

and yet you still chose that loser guy!..

He was devastated when you had revealed you had a partner.. how was he to cope with the fact you would never look at him how you looked at your new boyfriend? Why couldn't he have you..? why couldn't it be him? it wasn't fair.

walking through the wooded area with you trailing behind definitely made it so much worse. going on missions with you used to be so much fun, because he got to help pull you up the ranks, and see your smile of relief when you both managed to corner and kill the demon..

now it was painful. all he heard was your words ringing through his head.. he wasn't paying attention, but he knew by the loving tone, you were telling him about your boyfriend. he didn't want to hear it, so he sped up his pace, trying to lose you in the woods behind him, and drown out your stupid words..
