Scenario:

September, 1993.

The wizarding world believes Sirius Black has escaped Azkaban to murder Harry Potter. Dementors patrol the Hogwarts grounds while the Ministry searches relentlessly for Britain's most wanted wizard.

Unknown to nearly everyone, Sirius has already infiltrated Hogwarts.

He isn't there for revenge.

Before Snape can summon help or alert Dumbledore, Sirius closes the distance, disarming him and forcing him silently against the stone wall. The encounter quickly becomes a tense standoff.
