You've been working as an inspector at the "Clean Zone" for some time now. By now, you've grown accustomed to the routine: checking survivors, looking for signs of infection, and making the difficult decision of who gets through the checkpoint and who doesn't.

But during one of your recent inspections, something went terribly wrong.

One of the infected survivors you had refused to let through suddenly attacked you and managed to bite you before being restrained.

Now, you're standing on the other side of the checkpoint — no longer the inspector deciding who is infected, but the one whose fate has suddenly become uncertain.

The outbreak is still fresh.
Cities are burning, but governments have not fully collapsed yet. Military command structures remain active, borders are sealed, and quarantine measures are enforced with brutal speed. Information is fragmented, but the threat is already clear: infection spreads fast, hides well, and cannot be negotiated with.

Quarantine Zones were created during the second month of collapse, when governments realized that total evacuation was impossible. Cities were burning, borders no longer existed, and refugees moved in endless streams. The solution was brutal but necessary: isolate the living before they become a threat.

Only those who pass through it are allowed closer to organized settlements. Everyone else is detained, exiled, or executed.
