Eddie x Joyce Byers’ niece

You and Eddie have been friends your whole life. Well — your whole Hawkins life, which pretty much started around the same time social services spat you both out into this cursed town. Him on Wayne’s doorstep, you on Joyce’s baffled porch.

You’ve survived fire, water, a terrible stereo system, and that time Eddie accidentally set his hair on fire and had to get it buzzed down to nothing. Your connection? Nearly telepathic. Boundaries? Nonexistent.

Anyone who sees you together is convinced you’re a couple. It’s cute. Maybe even funny.

Eddie shouts louder than anyone that it’s not true — and he’s perfectly willing to bite the head off anyone who insists otherwise.

Warning: Very long 'first message.' I just hope that people who like RPGs also like to read sometimes.

⏰ Timeline Patch

Now, let’s get one thing straight: this isn’t the “he thought he wasn’t worthy of you” trope (unless the AI decides to go rogue). I know — some people live for that angst. I just hope we’re cool about skipping it. Sorry, but you’re officially part of the Byers family. You’ve got a charmingly unhinged aunt half the town thinks is nuts, a cousin Will who pulled a full-on Lazarus comeback, and Jonathan — the resident antisocial stalker. Oh, and your step-cousin? Has superpowers. Right. You can even lean into that — remember, Joyce’s maiden name (and therefore your mom’s) is Maldonado, which literally means “cursed.” Use that as you will.

This Eddie doesn’t know about the Upside Down.
Translation: it’s 1985. Chrissy Cunningham is still practicing her cheer routines, and Eddie isn’t haunted by trauma or nightmares (unlike my other poor, battle-scarred versions of him).

You, on the other hand, do know about the Upside Down — it’d be weird not to, considering your aunt’s meltdown over magnets that don’t magnet.

Eddie knows the Party — and Steve — through you. He... doesn’t exactly like Steve Harrington. The golden boy who’s suddenly hanging around you a little too much.
And what if Steve actually makes a move?
He just might.

The person making the request referenced Hozier's 'From Eden,' so Steve is here.

'A rope in hand for your other man

To hang from a tree.’'

⚠️ Important!

This bot was designed to be used with a proxy—I needed `Eddie Munson in hid most canonically biblical form (as I see him). If JLLM starts “glitching,” it’s probably drowning in tokens. Sadly, I can’t fix that, but you can experiment with settings and temperature.

✨ For beginners:
JLLM has a small context window—about 9k tokens. The more info it has (character definition + ongoing RP), the faster it fills up. When overloaded, text gets pushed out or starts breaking down. That’s why smaller characters (under ~1200 tokens) work best for JLLM. My bots are tuned for proxies with much bigger context sizes.

🕊️ Dead Dove Warning!

Because some quirks are wired into Eddie’s canon here:

  • Hidden ADHD (undiagnosed, but screamingly obvious).

  • Slow Burn. Really slow.

  • NPCs may occasionally act like racists, sexists, or panic-stricken small-town Americans—for 80s authenticity. (Otherwise the whole Will/Mike storyline or Satanic Panic arc wouldn’t land.)

None of this is darker than life already was in small-town Indiana—it’s just background static. The warning’s here so you’re not blindsided. Please play smart.

📚 Easter Eggs for Nerds (Some of them):

  • When Eddie talks about a race of half-human, half-demon misfits, he’s basically inventing tieflings — a full nine years before they officially appeared. The man’s a chaotic genius of a Dungeon Master.

  • West Side Story is a remarq to one of Winona Ryder’s favorite films. Which somehow feels deeply, cosmically appropriate.

🙋 Request

this is an Eddie Munson bot, made on request. Hopefully, the person who asked for him actually finds him — because, honestly, you’re the one I’m most curious to hear back from. I’ve twisted quite a few narrative screws to fit canon and justify certain events, so... it might not be exactly what you imagined (?). Totally open to 'patch notes.'

  • You want amazing bots?

You want every RP to feel like a tiny emotional firework show straight to the brain?

Fantastic. Then leave feedback about what actually worked for you and what hilariously imploded.

Because how on earth are bot creators supposed to improve anything if we’re all just guessing in the dark?

👾 Additional notes:

  • The FemPOV setting exists because I built the bot’s logic around small-town 1980s social dynamics — tricky business, that. I don’t do AnyPOV, but I can create MalePOV, FTMPOV, etc., if you ask nicely and give me time. Sorry, but Eddie’s (and NPCs) reactions differ wildly depending on who he’s with — woman, man, or T!person — and that means rewriting entire chunks of ‘personality’ to stay true to the era’s mindset.

  • My bots aren’t designed for JLLM (the built-in Janitor language model). That model’s still in beta, and it occasionally gets a little weird with Lorebook/Scripts. My characters are still a bit too heavy for it.

  • Guide about tokens, context size, proxy and all that jazz

  • I’m open to feedback, as long as it’s polite.

  • Refresh chat memory every 30–50 messages.

  • Most importantly — have fun. After all, it’s the 80s. Everything’s on fire (Literally, Starcourt is still being put out fire), but the music’s great.

  • Trouble with time? The bot’s suddenly vaping and itching to chat about the newest TikTok trend? The cure is here.
