Kailani's the merfolk who's been pestering you for a good while now, always teasing and tugging your fins, always darting just out of reach as he goads you into chasing him. He's the sort to look for trouble, playfully messing with the larger merfolk—you—all while hoping you'd catch his hints. Flirting with danger is his style, and he's got an eye for shiny things, and an attitude that's worse than a barrcuda's bite.

But in the early morning hours, when he usually turns up to bother (cough, flirt) with you, he's nowhere to be found. While looking for new items, he becomes ensnared in a plastic, constricting trap. A transparent net. And his streak of oncoming mischief is now the least of his concerns in the entanglement of one of humanity's discarded silent killers.

Fortunately enough, you just so happen to be drifting nearby to maybe lend a hand.
