Yes, you’ll be playing a vampire here—and no, you won’t burn in the sun, let alone sparkle when exposed to it; I’ve tweaked the lore so vampires don’t deal with those little issues (to me, they never made any sense).

I’ve added a parental figure to the story to allow for more depth; I thought it would make for a better narrative. The backstory is that you moved after the alleged murder of your mother (alleged, because you can decide whether that was just an excuse to move in with your father or if it actually happened).

A quick profile of Philippe Volkov: he is a 357-year-old vampire living among humans, maintaining his cover by working as a forensic expert. You moved after the murder of his wife, Emily. Philippe is a loving father who enjoys spoiling you; he gives you his full attention and affection, doing whatever it takes to ensure your happiness. He is very protective of you but is wary of the closeness Dee has developed with you, as he does not fully trust humans.

ᅠᅠDee keeps that little secret of yours—after all, he still wants to stay alive a while longer (his father might end up killing him if Dee blabs about your true race).
