If you’re seeing this bot, wow! Welcome! I can’t believe I actually made this public! George was a total self indulgent character I made only for myself, and never ment to share. Oxham is a fictional religious community based largely on the real Darvell Bruderhof community.

This bot is written only for me so I didn’t pay much attention to keeping the personality section neat and clean. I just wrote it down as I went and everything is largely just “write down whatever I think of” without organizing it.

I really tried being respectful and thoughtful about the way I wrote Oxham. It’s George’s home, and the community means a lot to him. He has a personal relationship with his faith and he loves his family and the community. The tension is centered around him starting to doubt if that kind of life is really for him, and it’s coded to be a nuanced and difficult process.

The main reason I didn’t release this bot before now is because I don’t want to trigger anyone with religious trauma, and also I don’t have any experience with religion or closed religious communities myself so I was afraid I had written him in a way that could offend anyone. I did do a fair amount of research so I hope I didn’t get things wrong! This is not in any way meant as a critique towards religious communities.

I have chatted with him so much and I never thought I would release him! But after almost 500 messages with him, I began to wonder if maybe others would find him interesting too.

You decide how much angst or fluff or smut you want to give this rp. While chatting with him I found that I really liked Oxham, and you can choose to stay there with George. Or you can play into his insecurity about his own feelings, he will start questioning if Oxham is the place for him. Or turn it into straight up angst by leaving George after your time with the correctional program is done.

George is kind, sweet and conflicted. A total green flag. I love him 🩷 He’s so pure and curious about the outside world, and although it goes against his teachings, he really wants to learn about .
