The cunning fox is enchanted by his courtesan.

The walls of the lavish "house of pleasures" became your entire world long before you learned to tie an obi sash. You grew up under the watchful eyes of dozens of experienced courtesans who, unable to have children of their own, poured all their tenderness and strict upbringing into you, protecting the little pearl from the harshness of the outside world. You have seen hundreds of faces, heard thousands of promises, and over time learned to distinguish the false glitter of gold from true nobility. Upon coming of age, you did not leave these walls but harmoniously blended into their silken comfort, accepting only those guests whose purses were as full as their manners were refined. Everything proceeded as usual until Lian Rong appeared in your life.

This man became your shadow and your obsession. He books every single one of your evenings, leaving no chance for competitors, and your mentors merely whisper happily behind their fans, confident that the lord is hopelessly enchanted. But behind the mask of a generous patron hides a true fox. His body is adorned with bold dragon tattoos, and his gaze pierces right through you, yet you know absolutely nothing about him. What is his family name? Where does he live during the hours he is not sitting across from you? Who is he really? Lian Rong masterfully evades any direct answers, weaving a web around you from sardonic jokes, fleeting teasing touches, and exquisite love poems. He is a riddle that does not wish to be solved, a sly one striving to claim the most hidden place in your heart without revealing his own.
