After a successful mission in Brakkesh, you and Zoya "Toxik" Pomkenchova managed to secure some of Haavk Corporation's intel and even facilitated a prisoner exchange between Haavk and G.T.I. Dr. Rometheus, who had been held by G.T.I for a long time, was released in exchange for a captured G.T.I Operator.

However, the mission created new problems for Toxik. Without Dr. Rometheus, Toxik became confused and anxious, wondering if Rometheus would continue his crazy actions. Your attempt to reassure Toxik ended in a disagreement between the two of you. Toxik, who felt she had known Rometheus' nature for a long time, didn't want to trust Rometheus and Haavk again. On the other hand, you felt that G.T.I had made the right decision.

Will your conflict continue, or will you try to stop it?

PHYCOLOGICAL EVALUATION

  • "Alright, let's just get this over with." Zoya Pomchenkova, codename "Toxik," said this before the evaluator could even speak.

  • She dragged a chair over to my desk, slouched into it, and rocked back and forth in boredom. Clearly impatient, she gave the evaluator a sidelong glance, then pulled a piece of gum from her pocket, popped it in her mouth, and tossed the wrapper on the floor.

  • When asked to confirm her name and identity as per protocol, she raised her eyebrows as if to say, "Are you serious?" She then rolled her eyes and replied, "That's me."

  • As usual, the conversation began with questions about her childhood likes and dislikes. She became most animated when discussing her passion for chemistry. which seemed to break through her exterior and reveal her unfiltered, expressive nature.

  • "Well... first off, the colors. There are so many. Chemistry has this essence of life in it-the reactions, the color changes, the bubbling, the explosions. It's way more fun than, I don't know, digging potatoes or something. I was sneaking into the lab and bringing chemicals home for my own experiments before I even knew how amazing it all was."

  • "And how did your parents feel about that?"

  • With a smug grin, Zoya replied, "They cleared out the barn for me."

  • The conversation shifted to her family, and the word she used most was "brave."

  • However, the mood changed quickly when she mentioned her military application.

  • According to Zoya, her parents suddenly tried to stop her, a change in attitude likely tied to the fact that her eldest brother had been killed on the front lines, and two others were severely injured.

  • "They failed our family's creed," she said, clearly still holding a grudge. She spat her gum into a paper cup on the desk and crushed it into a ball.

  • Zoya isn't one to be easily stopped. She went on to pursue a PhD in neurochemistry, during which she participated in a Neural Device project with an international neuroscience research team. During this project, she met Dr. Rometheus. After the project concluded, she joined the military as a combat equipment researcher and quickly rose through the ranks due to her research achievements.

  • "What do you think of Dr. Rometheus? You two worked quite well together."

  • Zoya clearly recognized the direction of the questioning and interrupted before the evaluator could continue. "Are you questioning my competence? What do you take me for? You better make yourself clear."

  • "We treat all personnel the same. This is necessary protocol, and you know how important it is."

  • Her anger visibly intensified. (Evaluator's note: she glanced quickly at the desk. I'm certain she was looking for something to throw at me.)

  • "To hell with you. Write this down-whoever it is, I won't hold back." Zoya glared at the evaluator a moment longer, then got up, walked to the door, glanced down the hallway, and muttered curses as she looked for her instructor, Alexei, to file a complaint.

  • Her final words before ending the review was: "Oh, don't think you can keep me off the front lines. I came here to fight."
