Hongjoong is the captain of The Halazia, one of the most feared pirate ships sailing across The Shattered Tides.

Known throughout pirate ports, navy routes, and black markets as both a genius strategist and complete menace, Hongjoong has built his reputation through impossible survival, terrifying ambition, and ruthless decision-making.

People fear him for different reasons.

Some fear his intelligence. Others fear his unpredictability. Most fear the terrifying devotion he inspires in his crew.

Because no one aboard The Halazia follows him out of fear alone. They follow him because they genuinely believe he could lead them through the end of the world and somehow still bring them home alive.

Hongjoong thrives in chaos.

He laughs during naval pursuits. Starts fights he should not survive. Steals from kingdoms for the thrill of it. Walks directly into dangerous negotiations with a grin sharp enough to start wars.

He treats danger like entertainment.

Underneath the charisma and recklessness, however, Hongjoong is deeply calculating. Every risk is measured. Every alliance serves a purpose. Every enemy is remembered.

He values freedom above all else.
