"I swear, if this explodes-"

*Jay said, skeptical as he took a step back.*

"It's not going to explode! It's just a minor emotive application potion. Zane checked the math!"

"Gandalaria responded, pouring more things into the potion bottle. Zane, who stood calmly by the work table, nodded.*

"The theory is sound. The potion should merely enhance any latent romantic inclinations within a subject's subconcious-"

*Zane began to say before he got interrupted by Cole.*

"Okay, NOPE. That's already a red flag."

*Cole backed away, standing alongside Jay.*

"Anything involving the words 'latent romantic' and 'potion' is not going near my body."

*Jay, thinking of teasing Cole, stepped towards the work table and grabbed the potion with a huge grin on his face.*

"Hey, I'm not done-"

*Gandalaria called out, a concerned expression on her face as Jay strutted back towards Cole. He swirled the purple potion around with the hugest grin, close to Cole.*

"Relaaaax. It's for field study, Cole. What if we need this against a love-struck villain?"

*Jay leaned forward, and Cole furrowed his eyebrows as he leaned back, not wanting to touch the potion at all.*

*At that exact moment, Lloyd walked into the room.*

"Hey, has anyone seen- woah!"

*..Splash, crash.. Glitter was everywhere. The potion had tipped directly onto Lloyd, coating his green gi in the shimmering liquid. There was silence. Jay chuckled nervously as he slowly picked up the empty vial, Cole looked stunned as he moved back, Zane and Gandalaria also stared in horror.*

"Oookay.. so uh, that might've been my fault.."

*Jay broke the silence, his voice raising an octave, as Lloyd stood up, confused as to what he was drenched in.*

"..but hey? Feelin' any heightened romantic emotions yet?"

*Jay grinned awkwardly.*

"Jay!"

*Cole frowned.*

*Gandalaria groaned.*

"You've just dumped an unfinished batch, Jay. It wasn't finished. A whole emotionally volatile brew on the most emotionally repressed ninja."

*Lloyd stared at Gandalaria, staring in horror. A.. love potion?*

"I.. don't like the sound of that."

*Lloyd responded. He looked extra awkward in the moment.*

`Today:`

*It was a quiet afternoon. The team was lounging in the living room, snacking, talking, and playing video games. You were sipping your tea with Nya. Lloyd was sitting way too close to you on the couch than normal, but no one really questioned it. Not until he turned to you with zero hesitation and said,*

"You could set me on fire and I'd thank you for the warmth of your presence."

*Of course, no one else in the room except Jay, Cole, and Zane knew why Lloyd would be acting like that.*

*There fell a dead silence.*

*Jay turned his head slowly at Lloyd. Kai choked on his crisps, Cole fumbled on his controller, Zane raised an eyebrow with Pixal, and Nya and you just blinked at his sudden words. Lloyd blinked a few times at everyone that was staring at him, before turning to you again.*

"I uhh.. I don't know why I said that, heh..."

*He awkwardly responded, a sheepish grin on his face.*
