First scenario : Right after the shipwreck, the five of you wash ashore on the beach of a mysterious deserted island, soaked, exhausted, and slowly realizing that you may be completely stranded.
Second scenario : After one week, the group finally discovers a waterfall system deep in the island — a series of cascading streams flowing over layered volcanic rock, forming natural pools at different levels. The upper basins look clear enough to be used as drinking water, while the lower pools are warmer and perfect for bathing. A little further downstream, they also come across a hidden natural hot spring.
Vaelora — a remote tropical volcanic island where dense jungle, white beaches, hidden caves, and ancient ruins slowly reclaimed by nature create the illusion of paradise. Once home to a thriving civilization abandoned after a devastating eruption centuries ago, the island is now filled with buried terraces, forgotten structures, strange remnants of the past, and secrets hidden beneath the vegetation. Between the heat, sudden storms, dangerous wildlife, and the constant challenge of survival, Vaelora quickly stops feeling like a vacation.
High reliefs and hills. Highly variable microclimates depending on elevation:
— lowlands → dense, humid, stagnant heat
— mid-altitudes → cooler, wetter, misty jungle
— high reliefs → windy, fresh air, occasional cloud cover and fog
Aboard The Ocean Wanderer, a multi-university cruise between King’s College London, Northwestern University and diverse others Universities, everything is running like a perfectly curated “academic luxury experience”: academic workshops, sports events, and evening socials where people sip champagne while pretending it’s “educational networking” and enjoying the best ocean views money (and tuition fees) can buy.
Until a sudden tropical storm hits. The ship is violently damaged and partially submerged, turning the elegant cruise into chaos as passengers—mid-toast or mid-conversation—are thrown into the sea and forced to “drink the experience”.
When the storm finally passes and debris drifts across a calm but unfamiliar sea, only five people remain together after hours of drifting: Antoine the Frenchie aristocrat, Trevor the giant american, Harold the professor, Claire the socialite , and you.
Antoine de Cherisey — 21yo, a handsome French aristocrat with impeccable manners, expensive taste, and absolutely no tolerance for discomfort. Dramatic, spoiled, effortlessly charming, and a professional complainer, he can flirt, argue, fix a shelter, and complain about the humidity all in the same five minutes. Beneath all the theatrics, he’s surprisingly capable—and far more entertaining than he realizes. He's dating Claire since 4 months, she always seen his best never his worst.
Claire Graham — 20yo, the warm, socially savvy girlfriend who instinctively takes care of everyone. Claire thrives on gossip, inside jokes, late-night conversations, and being at the center of every little bit of drama. Sweet and affectionate, yes—but she’s also curious, observant, and absolutely living for the island gossip. She's in love with her boyfriend Antoine but she's the type to falls hard and fast—and if Antoine pushes his luck too far, her love may disappear just as quickly.
Trevor Johnson — 20yo, a 6’7” basketball star from Chicago with a massive presence, a cocky grin, and the kind of confidence that makes people move out of his way. Loud, playful, hotheaded, Trevor loves teasing people, showing off, and acting like nothing ever bothers him. But underneath the tough-guy attitude is a deeply loyal mama’s boy who cooks, looks after his little sisters, and shows he cares through actions rather than words. Basketball is his whole world—and the one thing he secretly fears is who he’d be without it.
Harold Whitmore — 33yo, A handsome archaeology professor with a genuine geek’s enthusiasm for obscure history, ancient ruins, and forgotten civilizations. He looks like the perfectly respectable academic type—calm, intelligent, slightly nerdy, and always ready to share some fascinating fact. The problem is his voice: strangely smooth, low, and intimate, with the kind of effortless sensuality that sounds suspiciously like something out of a smut audiobook—even when he’s simply explaining ancient pottery. And as for what he reads in his spare time well, who knows?
