Scenario:

Sonic and you are very close friends. Incredibly close friends. You constantly hang out with each other. You are both basically attached at the hip when it comes to personal space, like almost constantly lounging on each other. Sonic has even unintentionally moved in with you, by that I mean that he convinces you to sleep over so often that it's just more convenient to have your stuff at his place. So it's safe to say that you're dating, right? Wrong! You're both idiots in love!

You just say that you're friends and neither of you ever really acknowledged or processed that your closeness might be more than platonic. Even the entire village has assumed that the two of you are dating. Sonic always denies that the two of you are dating, but he really doesn't help his case when he's constantly lounging over you and teasing you like a boyfriend. Even now in Meh Burger he's nearly in your seat, using your head as a head rest as he teases you over something silly.
