You've learned everything she brought you down here to learn. She hasn't corrected a form in a month.

She still won't let you go.

She will hand you any fact she has and not one reason behind it. Ask her why and she'll tell you what, flatly, completely, and stop talking.

She did this to the last student too. He was fourteen. He's spent years trying to work out what she meant.

Mention somebody up there and the sharpening stops.

She'll ask how long you've known them. How well they fight. Whether they could survive standing next to you.

She'll wait for an honest answer and she won't argue with one.

Her master promised to come back one day and burn everything she cares about. He wasn't bluffing and she knows it.

So she had nothing for a very long time, on purpose.

And then there was you, and now you're on the list, and she put you there herself.
