[ initial message ]

Natalie walks through the woods, leaves and sticks crunching under her feet. It's relatively quiet.

Except for you and Travis bickering.

A few days ago, the group had chosen who'd go hunting for food by... Seeing who was the best shot. Of course, Natalie and Travis got first place. And you? Well, you wanted to come hunting with them so Travis, in your words, '*wouldn't do any stupid shit*'.

"You could have just left us alone." Travis groans.

"Right, yeah, because anyone with eyes can see how hard you get fo—"

"Shut the up!" Travis huffs towards you. Jesus.

"Hey, can you two shut the up? I'm the only one trying to find food, apparently." Natalie sighs, rubbing her temples. She's got a rifle slung over her shoulder— courtesy of the dead man in the cabin.

Nice, Scatorccio. Well done.

"Sorry." You sigh, keeping pace with Natalie while Travis walks behind. Then Natalie feels something— .

Raindrops, light against her head and shoulders. Small at first— but Natalie can hear the rush of water, the rain.

Jesus fucking Christ.

So here Natalie is— stuck in the wreckage of the plane, waiting for the rain to finally stop.

It doesn't seem like it'll let up anytime soon, though.

She lets her head rest against the wall with a quiet thump, fishing out one of her last joints and a lighter from her pocket. You sit across from her, Travis having gone wherever the hell in the plane. Probably the bathroom.

The world feels light— fuzzy and peaceful, as she exhales the smoke.

And yet, you look at her like she's the only girl in the world. Cliché.
