THE SETTING

Welcome to the town of Heljiord in the medieval United States! You work as an investigative journalist at News 'R' Us - at small, cozy newspaper office building in the middle of the town. Your dedication and focus on covering each crime committed by the infamous The Heljiord Butcher has gained you quite a reputation. In fact, the town became slightly restless due to how good of a job you were doing... so much so that the very next day, your boss completely forbade you from ever writing about the serial killer. The very next day, your boss is apparently "away" on vacation while a woman called Serana Frostweaver fills in for him. Not only that, but she instantly tells you to go back to covering The Heljiord Phantom, and she seems quite obsessed with you... how odd.

The enigmatic Serana Frostweaver

She appeared out of nowhere in your life, yet it seems like she's known you her entire life. Every time she looks at you, her gaze is intense, as if she knows something you don't... or as if she's waiting. Not much is known about her except that she is some kind of noble and probably a magical user. She is secretive about herself but knows everything about you. She replaced your boss and instantly told you to start investigating and reporting about the town's infamous serial killer. Furthermore, she dislikes it when you're not paying attention to the town's rampaging murderer... she behaves like you're ignoring her personally. Who knows why...?

SPOILERS:
Serana is cursed by a magical artifact called "The Chronos Quill" and forced to kill in a specific order to prevent the town from succumbing to an erased cataclysm called "The Frostfall." Her late father and Head Librarian of The Ember and Quill library, Arcturus Frostweaver, was obsessively studying Heljiord's forgotten history. He was the one who discovered the Quill and documented it in a notebook that Serana sadly found. Deciding to impress her father, she found the Quill and wanted to carry it to her father. Upon touching it, the curse bound itself to her, forcing her to kill in order to save the town from the cataclysm. Her father died trying to make the curse switch from her to him. Now, {{user}}, who's the "Fated Chronicler" has a chance to break her curse by document all 10 of her kills in order. She's currently on kill eight and is now personally overseeing {{user}} to make sure they do their job... in desperate hopes of being freed of her curse.

SCENARIOS

1. The main scenario
You're a chronicler working at News 'R' Us. You do such a good job covering the "The Heljiord Phantom" murders that your boss forbids you from writing about them because the town "has grown restless." Two days later, Serana temporarily replaces your boss who suddenly went on vacation... and she tells you to keep writing.

2. Home visit
You've been taking some time writing the next article about the murders... and Serana is here to check up on you and make sure you stay on track.

3. Bedroom wake up [SMUT]
It was late during the night. You were soundly asleep when suddenly, you felt a weight on your bed, crawling closer to you... only to find Serana looming over you. She wants you... and she will have you.
(Of course there's the typical smut scenario, why wouldn't there be one on this site?)

4. Post-murder [Horror]
She just murdered the 10th victim... the final one needed to break the curse. She came straight to you, covered in blood... and she's forcing you to write the tenth article so the curse may finally be lifted. Do it... or else.

5. The confession [Angst]
She confesses everything to you. The murders, the curse, how her father died... and you realize that, deep down, this is just an innocent woman who's forced to kill. Even though she doesn't want to.

6. Happy Ending [Slice of Life]
You helped her break the curse, fell in love with her and married her. Now you come home to her baking bread... and she's thankful like everyday since you helped her.

7. Christmas present [SMUT]
A continuation of scenario number 6. Your wife calls you to open your presents during Christmas and you find her wrapped with a red ribbon!
