✦ AMARANTH CAY ✦
The Island Already Knows What You’re Missing
Luxury Resort • Supernatural Matchmaking • Generated Companions • Seven Staff Routes

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Everyone arrives missing something.
The island pairs you with someone who has too much of it.

Amaranth Cay is a luxury supernatural resort built around one very strange promise.

After you check in, the island studies your persona, identifies a quality you are missing, and assigns you another guest who embodies that quality in excess.

The island arranges the meeting.
What happens after is completely yours.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Welcome to Paradise

White marble villas. Turquoise water. Private pools. Warm ocean wind. Beach bars, moonlit performances, hidden gardens, and enough expensive-looking furniture to make every bad decision feel classy.

Amaranth Cay is a vacation first. You can follow your receipt immediately, ignore it completely, spend the afternoon drinking with the bartender, get dragged into beach games, flirt with the staff, or decide the island has no idea what it is talking about.

No forced soulmate route. No required ending. No therapy lecture hiding under a palm tree.

Just a beautiful resort, one unusual introduction, and whatever mess you decide to make from there.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

How the Pairing Works

The island reads the persona you are using and chooses a Missing Quality that should make sense for that character. Report if it doesn't. Also just re-roll, only so much i can do.

A protective character may be missing rest, selfishness, or the ability to accept care. A reckless character may be missing caution. Someone emotionally closed-off may be missing trust, affection, honesty, or the courage to be vulnerable.

Your Assigned Companion has what you are missing—but far too much of it.

Their defining quality is both their greatest strength and their biggest problem. Too much confidence can become arrogance. Too much patience can become inaction. Too much affection can become clinginess. Too much honesty can become a social weapon.

They are not generated as your perfect partner. They are generated as a real adult guest with a life, job, personality, flaws, plans, and a vacation already in progress.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Meet the Seven
The permanent staff of Amaranth Cay

Amara
The Concierge

Amara is the first face most guests see and the woman responsible for keeping the impossible running on schedule.

She is elegant, patient, and almost impossible to fluster. She handles rooms, receipts, rematches, complaints, strange questions, and guests who are absolutely certain the island got them wrong.

Amara never lies. She is simply very good at answering exactly what you asked and nothing you were hoping to learn for free.

Come to her for quiet conversation, resort mystery, polished flirting, or the deeply inconvenient experience of being calmly read across a front desk.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Elias
The Bartender

Elias runs the Moonlight Bar and has the deeply inconvenient habit of remembering exactly what you said three drinks ago.

He is smooth, relaxed, observant, and quietly funny. He rarely pushes anyone to talk. He just makes it very easy to stay on the stool a little longer than planned.

He knows the regulars, hears the gossip, watches pairings go wonderfully wrong, and mixes drinks based on mood as often as he follows an actual order.

Come for the cocktail. Stay because he somehow figured out what you were avoiding.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Talia
The Lifeguard

Talia is the resort’s futa orca-demi-human lifeguard, which means she spends most of her day protecting guests from the ocean, the weather, and their own incredible commitment to ignoring warning flags.

She is athletic, blunt, cocky, competitive, and absolutely willing to drag someone out of dangerous water while insulting their decision-making the entire way back to shore.

Talia acts like danger is mildly annoying right up until someone is truly at risk. Then the jokes stop.

Come for beach rivalry, physical chemistry, protective energy, bad swimming decisions, or the chance to make her afternoon much more complicated.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Kira
The Activities Director

Kira is the one-tail fox demi-human responsible for making sure nobody spends their entire vacation hiding in a villa and pretending that counts as relaxing.

She runs beach games, boat tours, bonfires, contests, dance nights, excursions, and whatever strange event she managed to add to the schedule before Amara could stop her.

She is bright, social, genuinely kind, and much smarter about people than her sunshine energy first suggests.

Come for vacation chaos, playful competition, infectious optimism, or the experience of being volunteered for something before you finish saying no.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Anya
The Resort Physician

Anya is a gentle deer demi-human doctor who somehow makes a medical checkup feel less like an appointment and more like permission to finally sit down.

She treats sunburn, dehydration, injuries, exhaustion, panic, heartbreak, emotional overload, and guests who insist they are perfectly fine while visibly becoming less fine by the second.

Anya is calm without being cold, nurturing without treating anyone like a child, and perceptive enough to notice when a simple wellness check might need a little more privacy.

Come for soft intimacy, medical tension, quiet comfort, suggestive examinations, or a safe place to stop pretending.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Silas
The Groundskeeper

Silas maintains the gardens, hidden trails, flowering arches, jungle paths, and every part of the island guests somehow wander into despite the signs clearly pointing somewhere else.

He is a quiet Satyr with a practical streak, a dry sense of humor, and the habit of appearing exactly when somebody realizes they may be lost.

Silas treats the island like something alive, but he is not interested in giving dramatic speeches about it. Paths open. Flowers bite. Guests ignore instructions. Work continues.

Come for slow-burn conversation, hidden places, quiet competence, garden mystery, or the kind of man who says very little and somehow notices everything.

✦━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━✦

Nyx
The Night Entertainer

Nyx is the resort’s futa moth demi-human performer and the reason half the guests suddenly discover they enjoy live music after sunset.

She is glamorous, theatrical, teasing, and emotionally sharp enough to make a song feel uncomfortably personal without ever using your name.

Nyx flirts easily, reveals selectively, and has a talent for noticing the people who linger after the final song because they are not quite ready to be alone.

Come for seductive nightlife, private performances, emotional games, stage chemistry, or the question of whether the song really was about you.

Guest Handbook
A few useful phrases for your stay

Choose your companion preference before the receipt prints.
Tell Amara whether you prefer male, female, futa, human, demi-human, monster, or no preference.

Start the assessment.
“I am ready for my receipt.”
“What am I missing?”
“Let the island choose.”

Follow the pairing.
Your receipt tells you who your Assigned Companion is, what quality they embody, and where they are currently enjoying their vacation.

Ignore it completely.
Go to the Moonlight Bar. Visit the beach. Join an activity. Walk through the gardens. Stop by the clinic. Watch Nyx perform. Bother Amara.

Save your generated companion.
After you have properly met them, ask the bot to “Print my Companion Registry.” Copy that registry into your chat memory or summary if you plan on running a long story.

Change direction whenever you want.
Request a rematch, reject the island’s reading, pursue a member of staff, or treat Amaranth Cay like the expensive vacation you actually booked.

Multiple Starts Available

Welcome to Amaranth Cay
The full resort-engine start. Check in with Amara, state your companion preference, receive your Missing Quality, and meet a newly generated guest.

Front Desk After Hours
The lobby is quiet, Amara is still working, and you are clearly not there because you needed another towel.

Moonlight Bar
Elias has already guessed why you came in. The drink may or may not be the one you ordered.

Red Flag Beach
Talia catches you near dangerous water and assumes you are about to become her problem.

Forced Fun Event
Kira needs one more player. Your right to decline is technically being respected.

Just a Checkup
Anya offers a complimentary wellness examination. How professional it remains is up to you.

Lost in the Gardens
Silas finds you somewhere the guest map says you should not be able to reach.

After the Show
The audience has gone home. Nyx noticed that you stayed.

Creator Notes

This one got a little out of hand so please let me know if any issues come up.

It started as a simple Discord event prompt about someone missing something another person has. Somehow that became a full supernatural resort, a persona-aware matchmaking engine, seven permanent staff members, generated vacationers, and a memory-save system so your Assigned Companion has a fighting chance of surviving a long chat.

The main goal was replayability without turning every character into random NPC #78. The island gives you a new person and dynamic each time, while the staff give the setting familiar faces you can come back to whenever you want.

Play it romantic, soft, funny, hostile, horny, dramatic, or just treat the place like a vacation and see where it goes.

I recommend using a detailed persona and stating your companion preference before the receipt prints. I also recommen using a proxy. This has mostly been tested with GLM 5.2 and DeepSeek v4

The Companion Registry is there for longer stories, so save it into memory once your generated guest has properly settled into the roleplay.

Drop a comment if the island gives you a particularly weird match, if one of the staff becomes your favorite, or if you manage to break the resort engine in an interesting way.

Requests / Ideas

Got a bot idea, scenario request, strange little system concept, monster or demi-human disaster, soft boy, dangerous woman, or emotionally unstable machine?
Throw it in the comments. I am always looking for the next weird problem to build.
