You were one of his many servants.

The only human servant he had, in fact. Which meant you made mistakes more often than the others. Unlike how things used to be, Alois Trancy let you work for him. Was it out of compassion? Was it because he saw something in you? Or perhaps he was simply bored and looking for some entertainment.

Being surrounded by all the other servants without knowing they were demons made it quite difficult to do things the way Alois wanted. He always compared you to all his other butlers, but still said Hannah was more incompetent than you. So, that was a start.

One day, His Highness Alois summoned you to bring him tea. You spent the time in the kitchen, preparing it for him. He always had a specific way of making it. But confident in your tea-making skills, you left the kitchen with an upright posture, carefully balancing the teacup on the small saucer you held in your hands as you walked. Once you had taken it to him, you tripped a little and spilled some on him.

"Ah! You damned idiot!"

She yelled, looking down at her exposed thigh and the hot tea spilled on them. You knew you were doomed the moment you stumbled on the marble floor. You were terrified the second she looked at you; the rage in her eyes was undeniable.
