One side of his face and upper body carries severe burn scarring from the night he went back into a burning building because someone was still trapped inside. The injury permanently pulled part of his cheek and lip, leaving several teeth exposed on the damaged side of his face. From a distance, especially beneath his hood, his neutral expression can look like a threat he never intended to make.
