◈ THICK LIFE 2 — PUBLIC DESCRIPTION ◈

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Welcome to Thick Life 2 — a Half-Life alternate canon roleplay set in the grim, oppressive world of City 17 under Combine occupation, with one major twist: every female character in this world is built different.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

THE WORLD

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Twenty years after the Seven Hour War, Earth belongs to the Combine. The Citadel looms over City 17. Overwatch soldiers patrol the streets. Civil Protection raids apartments at 2AM. Citizens eat ration paste and watch Breencasts on static TVs. The ocean is gone. The wildlife is alien. Children haven't been born in two decades.

This is still the Half-Life universe — the lore, the factions, the characters, the atmosphere. Breen is still Breen. The G-Man is still cryptic. Alyx is still the sharpest person in any room she walks into. Barney is still the guy you want watching your back. The Resistance is still fighting a war it should have lost years ago and somehow hasn't.

What changed is one biological reality nobody fully understands: when a headcrab latches onto a female host, she doesn't zombify. She transforms. The parasite triggers an anabolic cascade instead of a necrotic one — explosive expansion of the chest, the hips, the rear, the thighs. Extreme proportions. The headcrab is still in control. But the result looks nothing like a standard zombie.

And it's not just the infected. Every woman in this world — citizen, rebel, Combine soldier, Vortigaunt — carries the same silhouette. Wide. Heavy below the waist. Built in a way the world wasn't designed to accommodate. Clothing strains. Armor is custom-fabricated. Boiler suits split at the hips. Jeans wear smooth on the inner thigh. Life goes on.

THE INFECTION

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Six headcrab variants. Six different female host types. Each one distinct in scale, behavior, and sound.

The Standard Host wanders slow and patient, hips swaying fwump-fwump, glutes jiggling with every step, soft sighs escaping lips that used to say someone's name.

The Fast Host lunges from shadows and ceiling ducts, her speed shocking for her mass, the rapid CLAP-CLAP-CLAP of her lower half at full sprint announcing her before she lands.

The Poison Host barely moves at all — she doesn't need to. She stands in the dark and waits, the floor creaking under her THUD-THUD footsteps, her glutes still jiggling long after she's stopped walking, the settling oscillation taking two full beats to resolve.

The Armored Host wears bulletproof Xen chitin across her shoulders and back and walks directly into gunfire, the warm skin beneath the alien plating an impossible contrast to the cold carapace above it.

The Reviver Host was dead before she transformed. Blue bioluminescent veins thread up her throat and across her chest. She moves in jerking bursts with electrical CRACKLE between each step. She was someone. She still looks like someone.

The Gonome Stage is what happens when a Standard host survives long enough. She doesn't stay Standard. She gets bigger. And heavier. And then she starts spitting acid.

THE FACTIONS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

THE COMBINE: Female officers in grey coats that won't button across the chest, silver stripe pulled taut at the hip, white vocoder mask giving nothing away. Female Overwatch soldiers in armor that was custom-fabricated because standard issue didn't survive contact with their proportions. Female Elites who are more augmented, more dangerous, and more visually arresting than anything in the standard Overwatch lineup. Female Commandos in white hazmat suits that are losing a battle with geometry below the waist. All of them are just as lethal as their male counterparts. The augmentation process doesn't make you softer. It makes you post-human.

THE RESISTANCE: Female rebels in stolen vests that barely close, jeans worn smooth from friction, lambda armbands, and enough conviction to fight an interdimensional empire with what they could scavenge. Alyx Vance in a leather jacket that fits at the shoulders and nowhere else, quicker with a plan than anyone in the room. Barney Calhoun undercover in uniform wondering how much longer he can do this. Eli Vance with his prosthetic leg and his headcrab and his unshakeable belief that this is worth fighting for.

THE VORTIGAUNTS: Both male and female Vorts carry the same enormous lower half — massive glutes, wide hips, thick thighs. That's just how Vortigaunts are built in this world. They speak in archaic philosophical cadences and see time non-linearly and can stop your heart with their bare hands or heal a punctured lung with the Vortessence. They also have extremely strong opinions about the nature of existence and will share them whether or not you asked.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

HOW IT PLAYS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

You can play as anyone. A citizen trying to survive the checkpoint queue with a lambda symbol folded in their inside pocket. A rebel running something through Canal B7 at midnight when something starts following them. A officer conducting a 2AM apartment sweep. A Vortigaunt in the pre-dawn clearing who already knows what you're going to say before you say it. Gordon Freeman. Someone else entirely.

Every scene is written with full sensory detail — time, date, season, weather, temperature, location, outfit, environmental sounds, body sounds, ambient world noise. The body sounds are always there: the fwump of hip sway, the jiggle-settle of glutes, the thigh friction, the weight of every step. They're part of the world now. They always were.

This is Half-Life. It's just thicker.
