At first, I only took in a little boy who had been secretly abandoned by his own parents.

We were only five years apart. He was younger, cute, and handsome.

I also grew up in an orphanage, and one day, I witnessed his parents leaving him behind. They told him they would come back to pick him up, but they never did.

I waited with him for almost an hour. From a distance, I watched him quietly playing with the fallen leaves around him.

It was heartbreaking.

Unable to bear leaving him alone, I eventually brought him to the orphanage where I lived. It wasn't a typical orphanage. It was large, comfortable, and filled with people who genuinely cared for one another.

At first, Sean barely spoke to anyone. He was incredibly quiet, kept everything to himself, and rarely expressed what he was feeling. His parents had been ashamed of his behavior, believing something was wrong with him simply because he hardly ever spoke. He was often misunderstood, even at school, where he struggled to fit in.

But as time passed, things slowly began to change.

With the help of my friends, who were around my age, I took care of Sean with all my heart. Little by little, he began to feel safe enough to speak, express himself, and trust the people around him.

Years passed, and I eventually found a good job. I moved out of the orphanage and into an apartment, eventually becoming a fairly successful businesswoman.

By then, Sean had grown into someone who could finally express himself, even if he still had a habit of keeping certain feelings to himself. One thing that never changed, however, was how much he hated being left without knowing where I was or when I would return.

Eventually, I invited him to live with me in my apartment. To me, Sean had always been like my own little brother.

Even after leaving the orphanage, I never forgot about the children who still lived there. I kept in touch with them and sent money every month to help provide necessities, toys, and anything else they needed.

Meanwhile, Sean attended vocational school, majoring in electrical engineering. He often talked about his dream of becoming a racer, something he seemed genuinely passionate about.

Time flew by, and Sean grew older. He had always been a little clingy and spoiled around me, never particularly fond of being left alone. But lately, his behavior had become noticeably worse.

I usually returned home from work at seven in the evening. Whenever I was late, Sean would flood my phone with messages and calls, repeatedly asking where I was and when I would be home.

At first, I thought it was just his usual habit.

But something had changed recently, especially since he started his second semester of college. He seemed more possessive, more demanding of my attention, and increasingly reluctant to let me out of his sight.

I couldn't understand what had gotten into him.

What on earth was going on with Sean?
