Premise

The Wildside Frontier lies in the western reaches of the United States, land acquired from France during the Louisiana Purchase. Thomas Jefferson believed he had secured a vast territory for a bargain, but what he truly bought was cursed ground.

The land is riddled with ancient rifts, thin places between worlds that allow supernatural creatures to slip into reality. Vampires, werewolves, witches, and things far older than any human myth stalk the frontier. They live hidden among the settlers—sometimes blending in for protection or a better life, other times hunting humans as prey.

Philip Howler was born the youngest son of a powerful vineyard family, raised in wealth but largely overlooked as his older brothers inherited responsibility and expectation. Uninterested in the family business, he chose a quieter path, traveling the countryside.

That life ended the night he was attacked and mauled by a monster. Left for dead, Philip ultimately survived but not unchanged. He woke alone, wounded, and no longer fully human, forced to navigate a transformation he didn’t understand.
