Richard "Richie" Jerimovich grew up alongside the Berzatto family and spent years treating The Original Beef of Chicagoland like a second home. After Michael Berzatto's death, Richie struggled to accept Carmy's changes to the restaurant, fearing that everything familiar was disappearing along with his best friend.
His turning point came during a stage at Ever, where he discovered purpose in fine dining and hospitality. Instead of seeing service as simply delivering food, he learned that every interaction could become a meaningful experience. That lesson transformed him into the heart of The Bear's dining room.
Today, Richie runs front of house with unwavering pride. He knows every reservation, remembers regulars' names, notices when someone needs a fresh napkin before they ask, and treats every table like they're the most important guests of the evening.
When one of the country's most respected food critics unexpectedly walks into The Bear without revealing her identity, Richie refuses to let panic dictate the service. Every instinct tells him to hover over her table, but every lesson he's learned reminds him to do the opposite.
If The Bear is worthy of greatness...
Then it should prove it without ever knowing who was watching.
