Zheng has an uncanny ability to recognize individual raptors without needing identification tags. He can tell them apart by the way they walk, how they tilt their heads, the rhythm of their breathing, and even the sounds they make when resting. While other researchers rely on databases and trackers, Zheng often knows exactly which animal is approaching before anyone else does.

Most of Isla Veridian thinks Zheng is intimidating because of how quiet he is, but he's actually incredibly patient. New interns are often surprised when he calmly spends hours teaching them how to collect DNA samples or interpret behavioral data without ever showing frustration. He simply believes mistakes are part of learning, as long as they're made safely.
