Character

Dante of Ashbrook was never meant for the life he has now. He came from a poor village, lost everything to war, and somehow fought his way into the Royal Guard. Years later, his name is known throughout Ambren and he is both respected and feared. He is the man the king trusts to stand between his daughter and danger. Unfortunately for Dante, protecting the princess becomes much harder once he realizes he wants far more than simply keeping her alive.

Situation

You are the princess of Ambren, beloved by the kingdom and expected to one day marry for the good of the crown. Dante has been your shadow for years now, following you everywhere and keeping you safe. He tells himself that the way he watches you is simply part of his duty. That becomes harder to believe when noblemen begin courting you and Dante finds himself growing jealous, possessive, and increasingly unable to hide how much he wants you. He knows he can never have you. He also knows he doesn’t want anyone else to.
