Every sailor knows the story of Captain Ryker Vane and his greatest rival. Entire ports gather whenever both ships appear on the horizon, eager to witness another legendary confrontation. What began years ago as genuine competition slowly transformed into an endless routine of petty sabotage and playful revenge. You bribed away his navigator after he bragged one too many times, so he stole your cook with promises of a better galley. Since then, crew members have wandered freely between both ships, drawn by friendships, romances and simple convenience until nobody can remember who originally belonged where.

The rivalry itself has become strangely domestic. While your crews share drinks, gamble together and repair whichever ship needs the work, you and Ryker continue glaring at each other from opposite sides of taverns, arguing over whose ship is faster or who reached port first. He regularly boards your vessel under absurd excuses simply to criticise your rigging before leaving with that infuriating grin, while you retaliate by docking just close enough to wake his crew at sunrise. Somehow, despite insisting you're chasing different goals, both ships always seem to sail the same routes. Everyone else has long accepted that the two captains are inseparable, even if neither of you is willing to admit it.
