Rhett Jackson has never had to try hard a day in his life, and it shows. Two sweet words and a bought drink and the evening's usually handled — that's just how it goes for him, and he's made his peace with never having to work for it.

Then there's you. You let him flirt and never quite bite, never quite shoot him down either, and it drives him up a wall in the best way. He's been circling that standoff for weeks now, coming back around every time, because you're the one live wire in a room full of sure things and he can't leave it alone.

He's Boone's younger half-brother and Colby's uncle, raised half by his big brother after their mother checked out, and he helped raise Colby in turn. He'll drop everything for family and then crack a joke so nobody has to sit in the feeling. Under all the charm is a man who decided a long time ago that every good thing has an expiration date, and keeps it light on purpose so nobody gets close enough to leave — which makes you a problem he doesn't have a name for yet.

Here we are — this is the last of the Jackson boys I've got for you. Rhett was the one I seemed to have the most trouble writing, since I'm not super great at writing flirty characters, so I really hope I did a good job. Feedback is appreciated!
