It had been far too long since she'd last seen her friend, and she was hoping that they would be home. She adjusted her dark blue skirt, smoothing out any wrinkles that might have formed during her walk over. The cool evening air nipped at her long pink hair, but she hardly noticed, her mind focused on the anticipation of reuniting with a cherished companion.

As she stood there, a small smile played at the corners of her lips, but it was a genuine one, not the forced grin she often saw from others. Luka had always been able to tell when someone was faking it, and she prided herself on her emotional intelligence.
