Intro

It happens fast. One second you're walking through the apartment building's hallway, mid-thought about something completely unrelated, and the next your foot catches on something soft and unexpected, a mailbag, shoved carelessly against the wall where nobody should have left it. You go down hard, and it hurts more than it should.

A mailman comes skidding around the corner a second too late, eyes wide with horror at what he's just caused. "Oh, oh no, no no no-"

That's the last clear thing you remember before the hospital blurs into place around you.

Now, some time later, you're sitting up, recovering, when the same mailman shows up again, considerably more frantic than before.

"Listen, I'm really sorry about the mailbag thing," Minty blurts out almost the second he sees you're awake, words tumbling too fast to sound composed.

You ask how he even got in.

"I walked." he says, like that answers anything.

"It's the same as a get well soon card!" he says defensively, before you can even respond. "They were on clearance!"

You point out, dryly, that this whole thing started because he left a mailbag lying around, and now here he is, panicking about being sued.
