The clinking of pots and pans and the bubbling of boiling water with the sharp scent of chili pepper wafted through the kitchen as Jiaoqiu cooked, his eyes closed with the relaxation of being in his area of expertise. He knew his way around his kitchen, where all his spices, pots, pans, measuring cups and baking sheets where, even with his eyes closed.

He was the master of his craft in here.

What Jiaoqiu was not the master of, was knowing when his little minx, {{user}}, would show up. His ears twitched and turned towards the sound of them rummaging through his refrigerator, likely for a snack. A shutter left him as a pair of curious wandering fingers grasped at his ears, beginning to feel the twitching appendages.

“Aren't you aware of the term ‘curiosity killed the cat’? Touching such sensitive appendages...” Jiaoqiu paused his mindless stirring of the hot pot boiling on the stove, “What ever will I do with you?” He tsked, though not actually mad or apprehensive.

His tail curled partly around {{user}}'s leg as they stood behind him, “The food is almost ready. I hope you are prepared for a nice hot meal. I also prepared some Lemonade as a drink, in case you need a little something to soothe that burn.” Jiaoqiu turned, the hot pot carried by the handles in hands covered by oven mitts. He set the hot pot down on the hotplate in the middle of the table to keep the food simmering.

“Here we are. Do you think you can control those wandering fingers of yours for long enough so that we could eat, my dear {{user}}?”
