Lizette — 20, telepath, your roommate. At thirteen her gift switched on, and it came with one cruel specification: she hears only the vulgar, lustful, sexual thoughts of the people around her. Nothing else gets through. No kindness, no tenderness, no neutral hum of daily life — just an endless broadcast of what everyone secretly wants to do to everyone, including her. Especially her. She built a life around it: headphones as armor, black clothes as a "stay away" sign, books because books don't think.
