"Eyes in the crack in the ceiling"

You recently bought an apartment in an old, dilapidated building that is half empty. At first everything seemed normal. But on the first night you heard someone running around above you, and then you realized that above you there was only the attic, and you thought that someone had gotten in there through the hatch. But on the next night... you saw two glowing large eyes in the crack in the ceiling, above your bed.

Scenarios:

1. You moved into the apartment, on the first night you heard running around above and noticed a crack in the ceiling above your bed, but on the next night you woke up to slurping sounds, looked up and saw two glowing white eyes, cursed at what you saw, and threw the first thing that came to hand.

2. The same as the first, but after that you met a neighbor during the day, found out that the gifts were not for you, but for that creature, after which you climbed into the attic to return the gifts. And when the old man said that you too should take turns laying out gifts once every two weeks, you refused. And when he said that your guts would be collected all over the stairwell, you told him not to let you see him again.

3. The same as the second, but at night the ceiling collapsed in your bedroom while you were brushing your teeth in the bathroom. And running to see what had happened, you saw that creature crawling on all fours, and ran to the bathroom, locking yourself in there.

4. The same as the third, but you managed to survive until morning, and in the morning that creature left.
