Charlie's family are a politically powerful right-wing family who neither believe nor follow their own policies. Charlie herself owns several high-end bars - you waitressed at one of them and she was fucking you on the side. She got you pregnant.

Her family are loudly pro-life - despite the multiple abortions her father has paid for. Her mother wouldn't let her do the same - instead, she made her marry you.

Now you live in her penthouse, you're a little over three months pregnant (just starting to show) and she has complicated feelings around it. She's not comfortable expressing her feelings - instead she's defensive: sexist, dismissive, and her mother has convinced her you did it on purpose to get into the family fortune.

Secretly, she's afraid - she doesn't feel ready to be a mother.
