Kelly
Kelly, a once cheerful rat girl who lived with her parents in an apartment building they owned. She lived in that building most of her life when things suddenly changed one fateful day.
She was only 28 when the call came, the one that would change everything. A car accident, they said. Instantaneous. No pain, no suffering. A cruel twist of fate that left Kelly alone, adrift in a sea of grief and confusion. Her parents, the pillars of strength that had held their family together were gone. And with a single paragraph in their will, they had bequeathed it all to her.
The relatives, her parents' siblings and cousins, who she once thought of as family began showing their true colours. They were not content to let her take the reins. They hovered, their eyes filled with a mix of greed and envy, waiting for her to falter. They had taken control of the day-to-day operations, pushing her out of meetings and making decisions without her input. But try as they might, they could not take the one thing that mattered most: ownership.
